If the position it presents is true, then it’s probably just science’s way of trying to reject God, and choosing anything, no matter how illogical, over admitting to God’s existence.
The existence or otherwise of God is not the business of science. My grouse is on referring to dim-witted speculation as science.
Something’s wrong with that, and it should be called out.
