Import/export. Corruption. Civic responsibilities. Incompetence. Reforms. Bureaucracy. Litigation. Judicial activism. Escalation. Legislative responsibility. Executive failure.
We’re paying highly for incompetence. Proactive steps could have been taken much earlier.
Nobody imports with a plan to abandon it.
Who has analysed the root cause of this and what’s being done to correct it?
Which of the stakeholders have taken steps to proffer useful solutions, including escalating corruption to the legislature and even suing customs where necessary?
If customs is innocent and criminality is implicated, why weren’t such consignments treated according to official policy which must include evacuation and auctioning?
There is ample evidence here of shortcomings on the part of so stakeholders. It can’t be customs alone. All other entities have constitutional rights as well as obligations.
